Bit Devine started Starry Owl Designs in January of 2004. She wanted to offer unique jewelry pieces that were not only visually appealing but felt good, as well. With this in mind, Bit Devine chooses stones which complement each other to build each piece. She selects each stone for their unique energy & soothing effect.
She searches all over for unique beads, stones, carved bone & pewter accents. Some of her Pewter comes from Ireland, Her glass beads are gleaned from Antique Stores & Estate sales. All of the jewelry created here at Starry Owl Designs has been carefully crafted out of Sterling Silver, Semi-precious Stones, Pewter, Antique Glass or Carved Bone.
Even as a child, Bit had a fascination with "pretty" rocks. On any given day, her parents were assured that they would find her pockets bulging with rocks after a day of hiking the ranch or riding out. She still has the habit of picking up rocks in her travels. She values their healing powers and the energy that runs through them soothes her. She handles each stone bead, making sure the energy within is positive and before the piece is sent to its new owner, she smudges it with sage smoke and offers a blessing for the buyer.
